So despite one button, the combat is incredibly satisfying. This subreddit provides a space for fans of the newly announced Fable game from Playground Games as well as the original Lionhead's series of games. There’s a huge variety here you’ll see - whether it’s an overhead smash, the breaking of an enemy’s leg, or the rapid shot of a gun into the bad guy. New though is a dynamic action camera that will slow down and focus in on particular animation. The longer you hold a button, the greater the power of the swing of the hammer or shot of the pistol. ![]() The combat is mostly unchanged from Fable 2, a one button system yields plenty of cool moves and maneuvers. This adds to the cool factor when joining a co-op game, showing off your bad ass weapon. This all depends on what you kill, as well as what deeds you do while wielding the weapon. ![]() As you use your weapon it’ll morph and transform - glowing different colors, adding curves and twists, and adding different styles and sizes to itself. While there are “epic” weapons you can acquire and complete special tasks with, there’s very little reason to switch off of your favorite hero weapon. You are given your choice of weapons like a sword, hammer, rifle and pistol at the start which you’ll use for most of the game. Sure you can still collect or buy different outfits and armor, but they have no statistical effect on your character. It’s here in this hub world that you’re really given the choice to shape your character.Īnother big change is the lack of weapon and armor collecting - or rather - the lack of importance of it. These seals are then spent on different chests on your Road to Rule, the chests contain items like different expressions, upgraded attacks, and new spells to learn. No longer do you collect orbs based on melee, magic or ranged attacks leveling up that ability - instead all your actions, aggressive or not, yield you experience points towards Guild Seals. It isn’t long before your mentor Walter whisks you and your pooch away on a question to rally the people of Albion to your side to overthrow your brother.įable 3 is a lot more like an adventure game and less like an RPG. Your brother Logan is currently sitting upon the throne of Albion, but he’s a very unpopular leader that some call a tyrant. Now Fable 3 is here and it not only expands on the concept of what is right and wrong, mostly blurring the lines, but it also expands on the co-op giving people exactly what they want.įable 3 starts with you as a prince or princess, you are the child of the Hero from Fable 2. Fable 2 also introduced a limited form of co-op which for most, simply didn’t fit the bill. What started out as solo quest of a boy turned hero took a different turn in Fable 2 to a game with more difficult decisions between good and evil. The Fable franchise has followed an interesting path since it’s birth on the Xbox some years ago. ![]()

![]() ![]() The Cool Bean is surprisingly stable on hard-packed groomers. At 143cm this is a small board with a fish style tail and is super surfy. K2 Cool Bean 143cm – Jess Farmer, from the Sandy Ski ‘N See, was stoked on the all-around performance of the Cool Bean (a favorite for the day). It probably isn’t the best board for big mountain riding but any park rider would love it. The board is a little softer than most but because of the shape the energy transition gives you a good pop. It is super jibby with a mellowed Flying V shape. The camber makes the board very stable at higher speeds and really holds its edge.īurton Parkitect 154cm – The Parkitect is your park/pipe board. This board rips everywhere on the hill and kills it in the park. It is much lighter weight that the older style camber boards. It’s a classic board that any older style snowboarder used to the camber would love. This ski is very stable and can handle any conditions on the mountain.īurton Custom Twin (Camber) – Camber seems to be getting a much bigger push this year across all brands and with the Custom Twin it shreds hard with a lot of pop. ![]() With the full rocker design, the Aura floats in the powder and rips on the groomers. K2 Luv Sick 80 Ti – The lady shredders out there will be excited to hear that K2 is bringing back the Luv next year! Developed by the women of the K2 Ski Alliance, the Luv series has set the benchmark for women’s skis. Great for going off-piste or carving up the groomers. The century is light and very maneuverable through tight turns. It is playful in the powder, powerful in the crud, and rips on the groomers. K2 Pinncale 95 – The Pinnacle line up is a new series next year that is replacing the Annex series. Ryan Larsen, Ski ‘N See General Manager, says that this is one of those skis that will fit the needs of anyone on the mountain and perform well in all of the variable conditions in the Wasatch. The lightweight construction and shape of this ski makes it easy to maneuver and has great stability when charging. His music defies categorization - Is it hip-hop? Is it soul? Is it folk? Is it all three? Is it rock? Is it more? It's definitely more - and you get the sense that Raury likes it that way. Now on his second album, All We Need, and with a bigger platform, he has even more to say.and even more people who will be listening. A concept album that touches on societal issues while also giving us a look into the complex and thoughtful mind of a young 19 year old trying to present a distinct and powerful message through his unconventional music style.Īl We Need is a gem, and an album everyone needs to experience.Raury is a 19-year-old artist from Atlanta, whose first EP, Indigo Child, turned heads and made people ask, "Who is that?" Atlanta knew, of course, because Atlanta is an epicenter of music. It’s a great one, a very calming track to ease you through a thoughtful day (and album). The young artist also make sure to give the listener an ode to his mother on the track “Mama”. The chorus is catchy and infectious, and Raury makes sure to switch between this catchy beat and the smooth finger picking of the guitar. There’s also the track “Trap Tears”, which hits a more Rap side of things. The up-tempo beat makes you wanna just dance along…and it transports you to a cliche scene with a person skipping through a field in the sun. “Crystal Express” has a more enjoyable feel to it. “Peace Prevail” can fall into the same category, only slightly more ‘mellow’ than others. ![]() The piano flows so smoothly and Raury’s auto tuned vocals which seem to be almost chilling in a way. “CPU” is a more electro-R&B track that presents a mellow mood you can just chill to. It doesn’t just include tracks that touch on societal issues, though. The track includes a catchy bass line but what I love the most is how Raury addresses an array of topics, from minorities getting shot to the obsessions with technology.Īll We Need, in my opinion, can be seen as a protest album. The one song off of the album that I feel got me the most into Raury was one of the singles that was released prior to the album titled “Forbidden Knowledge” featuring Big K.R.I.T. The artist goes into a truthful monologue halfway through the track that spews wholesome truth. “Revolution” reminds me of just that, the chanting of “Go save this burning earth” continues as the rhythmic bongos play along to the artists powerful messages that not only shift to pollution but to hypocrisy. As the track comes to a close, Raury goes into a flow of rapping where he addresses how (unfortunately) money is a huge benefactor in a society to the point where it masks other needs. That build up soon dies down to include the vocals of Raury alongside crisp acoustics and the repetitive line/chorus, “Who can save the world, my friend?/ I’m telling you all we need is love.” The perfect intro and a depiction of the overall message. The album starts off with the title track “All We Need”, the quirky electronic build up will remind you of the THX sound effect heard at the beginning of several movies. This guy is more conscientious than any 19 year old I know.Īllow me to dive into the complex and powerful “new age” rap/R&B you’ll find on All We Need. “I’m never super-keen when people say, ‘I’m an artist here to save the world.’ But since I have these gifts to make music, I’m obligated to use them to cause some kind of shift in the minds of listeners, that will, hopefully, domino into people living better for themselves and everyone around them.” All I seem to hear anymore is lyrics about having sex or doing drugs…it gets to be repetitive and annoying after a while. Not many artists embrace this mindset, especially in Rap music. It’s not cool to always be talking about: ‘Oh, this week I fucked 14 girls and I’ve $50,000 in my back pocket.’ That shit is lame to me.” PC: BILLBOARD “I remember when Chance tweeted: ‘ I can’t wait until it’s cool to be a good person again.’All of a sudden it’s strange that I love life, that I want to be loved. In an interview with The Guardian‘s Harriet Gibsone, Raury talks about his “hippy”-like philosophy and the message behind his music. You wouldn’t think a 19 year old would preach messages of loving the earth and loving eachother, but the Georgia-based musician sure does stick to the theme that matches the title of his debut record, All We Need. From The Neighbourhood’s “Warm” to the artist’s own “Devil’s Whisper”, the 19 year old artist captivated me with complex melodies about the earth, society, love, and other topics that may coincide with various situations occurring in our society today. I had heard the name ‘Raury’ pop up in many different songs in the past year. ![]() ![]() "The Grass is Singing Symbols, Allegory and Motifs". When Moses first speaks English to Mary, she becomes enraged and hits him however, when he continues to do so as a houseboy and Mary cannot resist him, it demonstrates that he has not merely become her equal but has actually become her superior. ![]() In Southern Rhodesian society, it is looked upon as impudent for a native to speak English to a white person doing so would indicate that the two were on equal footing. Those books not only fill Mary's head with unrealistic ideas: they also fail to provide her with any moral support. The way that Mary uses her sjambok to order around her native workers seems to make her similar to Charlie Slatter, but there is an important difference between how the two relate to their workers and their farms: whereas Charlie is full of cruel confidence in running his business, Mary operates on a more emotional level, demanding absolute subjection from her native servants.
